Tasting Notes ~ Roughly 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, aged in a combination of demi-muids, foudres, and amphorae. This is Saint Emilion at its most emotional and noble, with blackberries, red and black currant, black cherries, mossy forest floor, cedar, leather, and even a hint of exotic spices. It’s broad and intricately layered with a vivid core of wild fruit and pulverized minerality. This is just entering its drinking window, and would definitely benefit from an hour-plus decant, and will really be at its best around 2025. The soufulness and value represented by this bottle can't be overstated.
