Vinous 90 ~ A mix of crushed black cherries, brown spice, balsam herbs and hints of cocoa make the 2019 Pettirosso impossible to ignore. It’s soft and enveloping, yet with juicy acids and tart wild berry fruits to contrast, as inner violet florals frame the expression beautifully toward the close. The 2019 finishes fresh with a bitter twang of cranberry and hints of lavender. Pettirosso is an invigorating blend of Sangiovese with a small percentage of Ciliegiolo. 2022-2026.
