Winderlea Pinot Noir Winderlea Vyd 2014
Winderlea Vineyard With the purchase of the Goldschmidt Vineyard, twenty acres with some of the oldest vines in the Willamette Valley, dating back to 1974, Winderlea has the opportunity to craft its wine with one of the most highly regarded vineyards in the Willamette Valley. The vineyard sits on the south side of Worden Hill Road with ideal elevations of 480 to 570 feet. The original plantings include Pommard, Wadenswil and the so-called Coury Clone, a selection imported in the late ’60s by one of the early pioneers of Oregon grape growing, Charles Coury. Today the site is composed of thirteen blocks entirely devoted to Pinot Noir.
