Vincent Girardin St Vincent Cuvee Bourgogne Blanc 2015
From 40-year-old vines on the lower slopes of Chassagne Montrachet and Meursault, Vincent Girardin's Cuvée St. Vincent utilizes some excellent terroir for a Bourgogne bottling. The clay limestone soils yield about 50 hl/ha of grapes which were harvested by hand and sorted both in the vineyard and again at the winery before being pressed and slowly extracted. The wine spent 10 months in barrel before being bottled. The wine is aromatically rich with floral and citrus tones with a fresh and minerally Chardonnay profile.
